Travel Registered Nurse PACU Job
Registered Nurse, PACU – Marysville, California. Travel assignment starts 06/22/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,802–$1,979 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0 per week. Shift: four 10-hour days (7:00 AM–5:30 PM; start times may vary within unit needs). Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital with a PACU/SDS patient population.

Responsibilities
- Provide postoperative nursing care in the PACU, including continuous monitoring of vital signs, oxygenation, hemodynamics, and airway status.
- Administer appropriate analgesia and IV sedation within scope; recognize and respond to post-anesthesia complications; maintain patient safety and comfort.
- Conduct frequent patient assessments, document findings, and communicate with anesthesia and surgical teams; perform thorough handoffs to next care level.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized recovery environment; manage equipment, IV lines, drains, and monitoring devices; adhere to infection prevention protocols.
- Document care consistently in the electronic health record and follow unit protocols for escalation and delivery of perioperative care.
- Demonstrate flexibility to work across SDS/PACU duties as needed and maintain competency in required certifications and unit procedures.
Requirements
- Active California RN license.
- BLS and ACLS required.
- PALS certification within 1 year of hire; IV Sedation competency within 6 months of hire.
- 1 year of critical care experience (ICU or ER) preferred for SDS/PACU roles.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited RN program; eligible to practice as a registered nurse in California.
- Ability to work in a PACU/SDS environment with a 4x10-hour shift pattern and variable start times as needed.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and collaborative skills to support perioperative recovery.
