Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – ER, Fairfield, Iowa, United States. Travel assignment beginning 08/31/2026 for 13 weeks, with weekly pay of $2,288–$2,351 per week and 36 guaranteed hours per week. Shift: 3x12-hour nights. This role takes place in a Critical Access Hospital ER, focusing on comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, directing patient teaching, and coordinating with ancillary staff. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver total patient care in the ER using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
- Administer medications, monitor effects, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Direct and guide patient teaching; coordinate with physicians, technicians, and ancillary staff
- Triage patients, monitor vital signs, and initiate appropriate interventions
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record accurately
- Support discharge planning and patient education for post-visit care
- Maintain infection control, safety, and quality standards; ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
Requirements
- Current Iowa RN license (active)
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required
- ER experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to perform 12-hour night shifts in a rural ER setting
- Willingness to complete standard employment health and credentialing requirements prior to start
