Travel Occupational Therapist Acute Care Job
Occupational Therapist, Acute Care in Glendive, Montana. Start date: 05/18/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment with 36 hours guaranteed per week. Day shift in a long-term care/nursing home setting. This is a travel - temporary assignment requiring OT expertise in a residents-focused care environment.

Responsibilities
- Conduct initial OT evaluations and ongoing assessments to determine therapy needs for residents in a long-term care setting.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving functional mobility, activities of daily living, balance, cognition, and safety with daily living tasks.
- Provide direct therapy interventions and teach compensatory strategies, adaptive equipment, and activity modification to promote independence.
- Reassess progress regularly, adjust treatment plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes and discharge planning.
- Document evaluation findings, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory and facility policies.
- Uphold patient safety, infection control practices, and proper documentation standards throughout all activities.
Requirements
- Active occupational therapy license in Montana or eligibility for MT licensure
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- 1+ year of experience in occupational therapy, preferably in long-term care or acute care settings
- Ability to work a day shift and participate in a travel assignment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; proficient in documentation and care coordination
