Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines using critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making.
- Monitor patient status and telemetry, administer medications per protocol, and respond to changes in condition.
- Document care in the electronic medical record with accuracy and timeliness; ensure patient safety and compliance with policies.
- Collaborate with physicians, unit staff, and other care team members to implement and adjust individualized care plans as needed.
Requirements
- Current active Registered Nurse license in California
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Telemetry nursing experience preferred or ability to work in a telemetry unit
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and participate in a 13-week travel assignment
- Nursing degree from an accredited program (ADN or BSN)
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
