Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for a geriatric population and develop individualized treatment plans aimed at improving activities of daily living, motor skills, cognition, and safety.
- Implement evidence-based OT interventions to restore, improve, or maintain client function and independence.
- Reassess progress regularly, document outcomes, and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to coordinate care, modify plans, and support discharge planning.
- Educate clients and families on home programs, safety strategies, and equipment needs; provide training on adaptive devices when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record and adhere to regulatory and facility requirements.
Requirements
- Active California Occupational Therapy license or eligibility per state requirements
- Ability to work in a geriatric, skilled care setting
- Availability to start on 11/30/2026 and commit to a 13-week assignment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
- Proficiency with documentation in electronic health records
