Responsibilities
- Provide coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Perform triage, assessment, treatment, and support for trauma and emergency patients of all ages in an acute care setting.
- Monitor patient status, administer medications as allowed by scope of practice, and document responses and progress.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinate care with other disciplines while using critical thinking and professional judgment.
- Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement patient care plans, ensure patient safety, and maintain clinical documentation in compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Active California RN license
- NCI Required
- Moderate Sedation Training required
- Ability to work in an ER/trauma department within an acute care setting
- Willingness to work 12-hour day shifts on a 3x12 schedule
