Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations across applicable body areas; breast MRI capability is preferred
- Prepare patients and MRI equipment; ensure safety protocols, screen for contraindications, and maintain sterile technique
- Position patients, select appropriate coils, and adjust imaging parameters and protocols to obtain diagnostic-quality images
- Monitor patients during scans; manage contrast administration according to facility protocol when trained and credentialed
- Review acquired images for technical quality and communicate findings with radiologists as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation, process imaging orders, and uphold clean, safe, and organized workspaces
Requirements
- Active radiology licensure as required by state regulations for MRI practice
- Certification in MRI (e.g., ARRT MRI) preferred or as allowed by state requirements
- Minimum 1 year MRI experience in a hospital setting (or equivalent)
- Ability to work rotating day shifts; 12-hour shift schedule; strong communication and patient-care skills
- Ability to work effectively in a hospital environment and adhere to safety and procedural protocols
