Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg (Travel) 13-week assignment in a rural, acute-care setting in California. Start date: September 14, 2026. Weekly pay: $1,816–$1,861 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour nights (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). Setting: Critical Access Hospital. Employment Type: Travel – Temporary Assignment. Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or patient group according to established standards and the nursing process
- Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses and care needs; develop and implement a care plan, and coordinate care delivery
- Monitor patient status, administer medications and treatments as ordered, and evaluate progress toward outcomes
- Collaborate with the care team, patient, and family to promote safety, healing, and a humane care environment
- Assist with discharge planning and provide patient/family education to support continuity of care
- Delegate appropriately, supervise assigned staff, and ensure appropriate documentation and care coordination
Requirements
- Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California) is required
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required
- Experience: Minimum two years of recent acute care or Med Surg experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- EMR: EPIC experience required; Cerner experience is a plus
- Ability to work in a rural/critical access hospital setting and participate in a 24/7 care environment
