Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive PT evaluations of posture, gait, balance, coordination, and strength; develop individualized treatment plans to restore mobility and independence.
- Implement therapy to improve activities of daily living, such as standing from a chair and stair negotiation, for residents in a long-term care setting.
- Lead and direct delivery of physical therapy services in the long-term care setting in accordance with applicable regulations and the facility’s policies and procedures.
- Monitor resident progress, document outcomes, and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
- Ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance, maintain accurate records, and communicate findings to supervising clinicians as required.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in Missouri (state of employment).
- Minimum 1 year of PT experience (required).
- LTC or Rehab experience (required).
- Education: degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Documentation: ability to provide license verification and certifications, plus submissions such as a skills checklist (within 1 year of submission date) and references.
- Valid driver’s license in Missouri.
- Ability to work in a long-term care setting and meet the job’s travel requirements.
