This travel assignment is in an oncology infusion environment. The position includes no on-call duties and no weekend requirements.

Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy infusion and immunotherapy according to physician orders and established protocols
- Monitor patients during and after infusions, assess for adverse reactions, and respond promptly to infusion-related events
- Prepare, verify, and administer premedications, IV therapies, and supportive medications; ensure accurate documentation
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, expected side effects, safety precautions, and follow-up care
- Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and nursing colleagues to coordinate care and ensure continuity across shifts
- Maintain strict adherence to patient safety, infection control, and regulatory standards; ensure correct drug, dose, route, and timing; uphold sterile technique
- Document care in the medical record, communicate changes in patient status, and participate in patient handoffs

Requirements
- Current registered nurse licensure in the state of practice (CA) – Required
- AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS certification – Required
- Minimum 2 years of chemotherapy infusion experience – Required
- On Oncology Nursing Certification (ONC) or Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration Certificate (CHIM) or ONC/ONCC-CHIM – Required
- ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration Certificate (if applicable) – Required
- Must have worked in the submitted unit specialty within the last 3 months – Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred
- Oncology nursing experience in a radiation or related department – Preferred
