Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy infusions in the outpatient infusion setting following established protocols
- Monitor patients during infusion, assess for adverse reactions, and respond promptly to infusion-related events
- Verify orders, prepare medications accurately, manage IV access, and ensure patient safety
- Document care, treatment progress, and medications in the electronic medical record (Epic)
- Collaborate with the oncology care team, including physicians, pharmacists, and nursing staff; provide patient and family education about infusion therapy and safety
Requirements
- Active RN license on file at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience; minimum 2 years in the oncology/infusion specialty
- Outpatient infusion/oncology clinic experience required
- Chemo and biotherapy certification; BLS certification
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years
