Licensed Practical Nurse – Long Term Care in Waterloo, NY, United States. This travel temporary assignment starts August 25, 2026 and runs for 27 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $513 to $535. Responsibilities
- Collect data on residents’ physical and psychosocial status and communicate findings to the RN and interdisciplinary team.
- Contribute to development of an age-appropriate, culturally relevant plan of care reflecting nursing diagnoses and interventions; involve the resident, family, and care team.
- Reassess resident outcomes and revise the plan of care as needed; refer to additional services when necessary; ensure coordination with the resident/family.
- Provide direct and indirect skilled nursing care under the direction of the RN; follow defined policies and procedures.
- Maintain current knowledge and competency in nursing practice; participate in mentoring or orientation of staff; promote a safe environment and ongoing education.
- Demonstrate knowledge and competency in caring for geriatric residents; adhere to safety, infection control, and standard precautions.
Requirements
- Active NY Licensed Practical Nurse license
- BLS certification (American Heart Association or RQI)
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an LPN in a long-term care setting
- Ability to work in a geriatric/adult patient population
- Weekend and holiday availability as required
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and provide nursing care under supervision
