Responsibilities
- Administer ambulatory chemotherapy, biologics, blood products, and other infusion therapies; monitor patient response and manage adverse reactions
- Establish and maintain venous access for infusion, including ports, PIVs, ultrasound-guided PIVs; PICC and midline experience preferred
- Provide care for patients with ports, peripherally inserted lines, and complex venous access needs; participate in PICC/midline team activities as needed
- Perform related duties such as therapeutic phlebotomy and line care; operate infusion devices and monitor pumps
- Document thoroughly in the electronic medical record (EPIC); communicate with the oncology team and coordinate care and patient education
- Complete onboarding requirements including ECG/telemetry and medication tests; pass with an 85% threshold (one attempt)
- Maintain compliance with oncology standards (ONS), chemotherapy safety protocols, and departmental policies
- Expected to assist with oncology shifts as needed; maintain high standards of patient safety and hygiene

Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license required at time of submission
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Chemo-certified; ambulatory chemotherapy experience strongly preferred
- EPIC experience required
- Oncologic infusion experience with strong venous access skills (PICC, ports, PIVs, ultrasound-guided PIVs)
- PICC line certification from BARD preferred; PICC/midline placement experience preferred but not required
- ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification required
- Ability to work in a hospital infusion setting; comfortable with a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Must be travel-capable and non-local; separation from BILH for at least 6 months required prior to any return
- Onboarding tests for dysrhythmia and medications; 85% passing score; some tests administered remotely (Zoom) with limited retakes
