Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist) needed for a travel assignment in Burlington, Vermont. This 4-week, 3x12-night shift opportunity is conducted in a hospital setting and requires active RRT credentials, with a start date of May 4, 2026. Weekly pay ranges from $2,100 to $2,241, and this assignment is a travel—temporary engagement in an inpatient, teaching-hospital environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care for adult ICU and ED patients; manage ventilator therapy and airway support as clinically indicated
- Conduct respiratory assessments, monitor patient status, and adjust therapies per physician orders and protocols
- Perform ABG collection and interpretation, monitor oxygenation and ventilation, and document findings in the electronic medical record (Epic)
- Administer inhaled therapies, humidification, suctioning, airway clearance techniques, and medication delivery as prescribed
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to optimize patient care; respond to clinical changes and participate in rounds
- Ensure equipment readiness, perform routine checks on ventilators and alarms, and adhere to infection control and safety standards
- Provide care in inpatient units including NICU Level III when required; PICU experience is preferred
- Weekends as needed; no on-call requirement; maintain schedule flexibility as required
Requirements
- Active Respiratory Therapist license on file (RRT); CRT not accepted
- NBRC verification
- BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA) and NRP certifications
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient respiratory care experience; prior travel experience preferred
- Teaching hospital experience required; Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required
- Must be able to work 12-hour night shifts in a high-acuity environment (ICU/ED/NICU)
- Ability to document all specialty experience accurately in employment history
