Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care to adult ICU and ED patients, with NICU Level III involvement; manage ventilator support, including settings, modes, weaning, and airway management as prescribed.
- Administer inhaled medications and therapies, perform airway clearance techniques, and conduct NIV/ventilator support as indicated.
- Monitor patient status, interpret monitoring data and ABG results, adjust treatment plans, and participate in multidisciplinary rounds.
- Document all respiratory care procedures and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record (Epic) within required timeframes.
- Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, ensure infection control practices, and participate in equipment checks and maintenance.
- Exhibit flexibility for weekends as needed; no on-call requirements; contribute to a collaborative, teaching hospital environment.

Requirements
- Active Respiratory Therapist license (RRT) on file; NBRC verification required.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (per job notes: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS; NBRC Verification; NRP).
- Must be RRT (not CRT); minimum 1 year of relevant clinical experience.
- Inpatient experience in adult ICU, ED, and NICU Level III; teaching hospital experience preferred.
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required.
- Public transportation is not accessible in this area; reliable transportation (personal or rental vehicle) strongly recommended.
- Demonstrated ability to document all specialty experiences across prior roles and provide complete employment history as required.
