Overview
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) for neuro and orthopedic cases in a hospital setting. This travel - temporary assignment is based in Lawrenceville, GA. Start date is 10/05/2026 for a 13-week assignment with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Expect 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (typical 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; schedule varies) with on-call requirements. The role requires strong OR nursing skills, Cerner charting experience, and the ability to support robotics-related cases as needed. Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care as circulating and/or scrub RN for neuro and orthopedic cases
- Prepare the OR, verify patient identity, surgical site, and equipment, and maintain sterile technique
- Assist anesthesia and surgical team; monitor patient status intraoperatively; manage equipment and instrumentation
- Document in the Cerner electronic health record; communicate changes and plan of care with the team
- Support robotics-enabled procedures when required and ensure readiness of robotics equipment
- Complete accurate handoffs to post-anesthesia care and surgical teams; participate in urgent or emergent intraoperative responses as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent OR experience, with neuro and orthopedic case exposure
- Certification: AHA BLS and ACLS required
- Cerner experience or strong Cerner proficiency
- Expertise in neuro and ortho surgical settings; robotics exposure preferred
- Active RN license in good standing (state of practice) or as required for the assignment
- Ability to work 4x10-hour shifts; on-call duties and holiday coverage required
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
