Responsibilities
- Provide coordinated nursing care for an assigned ICU patient population using the nursing process.
- Collect and analyze patient data, develop and implement an appropriate care plan, and coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team.
- Monitor patient status, administer medications and treatments, document findings accurately, and adjust plans as needed.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at varying levels; delegate tasks appropriately and ensure safe, evidence-based care.
- Educate patients and families, participate in discharge planning, and facilitate smooth transitions of care.
- Maintain open communication with the treatment team, participate in rounds and handoffs, and uphold documentation and regulatory standards.
- Utilize electronic health record systems (Epic experience preferred) for orders, documentation, and care coordination.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice (California or applicable state)
- BLS/CPR certification from an approved vendor (per policy)
- Minimum two years of recent ICU/acute care nursing experience
- BSN degree preferred
- Epic experience preferred; ability to navigate complex ICU workflows
- Ability to work in a hospital ICU setting and participate in 12-hour day shifts
- Willingness to travel to Glendale, CA for assignment
