Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under supervision, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding as needed.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using safe patient-handling techniques and assistive devices.
- Observe residents, monitor for changes in condition, and promptly report to the supervising nurse.
- Document care provided and resident responses in the appropriate charting system following facility policy.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment; adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Support residents’ emotional well-being, protect privacy and dignity, and respond to call lights and daily routine needs in a respectful manner.
Requirements
- Ability to perform CNA duties in a long-term care setting.
- Willingness to work the scheduled shift pattern described.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to follow care plans and documentation requirements.
- Commitment to safety, infection control, and resident privacy.
- Flexibility to meet assignment duration and start date requirements.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, geriatric care environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
