Responsibilities
- Collect and document relevant data pertinent to patient health and infusion needs.
- Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues; develop and implement an evidence-based plan.
- Administer infusion therapies, monitor patient responses, and adjust care as needed to achieve outcomes.
- Coordinate care delivery with the healthcare team; provide information to patients, families, and the treatment team.
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care and safe transition post-infusion.
- Collaborate with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary team; delegate tasks appropriately and support ongoing education.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California) required.
- BSN preferred.
- CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS/HS-BLS/RQI BLS) certification from an approved vendor required.
- BLS/HS-BLS/RQI BLS facility-specific certification required.
- Infusion nursing experience preferred; ability to work in a hospital infusion setting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to provide patient and family education.
