Ultrasound Tech / Sonographer – Ultrasound
Location: Berlin, Vermont, United States
Start date: 07/13/2026
Duration: 4 weeks minimum (travel assignment)
Weekly pay: $2,284-$2,461 per week
Shift: 5x8 evenings (8-hour evenings)
Setting: hospital-level imaging on a travel assignment in a community-based hospital with about 100 beds
This assignment requires CT/X-ray trained capability and on-call coverage as described in shift details.

- Equipment: GE Logic E10 and Samsung WS80A ultrasound systems
- Floating: may float within radiology, OR, and off-site imaging locations
Responsibilities
- Perform general ultrasound examinations, including vascular studies, AB/OB imaging, and organ-specific protocols as assigned.
- Acquire, optimize, and interpret diagnostic ultrasound images; ensure accurate labeling and documentation.
- Administer IV contrast injections per protocol and assist with relevant radiology procedures when required.
- Document findings in the electronic medical record (EPIC) and communicate results to the interpreting radiologist promptly.
- Maintain strict patient safety, infection control, and equipment hygiene; troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic QA.
- Collaborate with radiology staff and surgical teams; may be required to float to Radiology, Fluoroscopy, and OR areas as needed.
- Participate in on-call rotations (evenings/weekends/holidays) and adhere to unit schedules and protocol.
Requirements
- Certifications: ARDMS (AB or OB) and RVT credentials; BLS required; Ultrasound Certification Verification (equivalency) on file
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of ultrasound unit experience; general ultrasound with vascular experience strongly preferred
- EMR: EPIC experience within the past 2 years
- Training: CT and radiography (X-ray) training; capable of performing contrast injections
- Licensure/credentialing: Current credentialing on file for listed modalities; able to work in a hospital imaging setting
- Mobility: Ability to float to multiple imaging areas; able to work evenings and on-call shifts as required
