Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) in Mauston, WI. This travel assignment begins on 08/08/2026 and runs for 13 weeks. Responsibilities
- Provide quality nursing care for maternal and newborn patients; complete initial histories and develop patient-centered care plans
- Appropriately triage patient concerns and monitor labor progression; manage induction and cervical ripening
- Administer medications accurately and respond to obstetric emergencies (e.g., prolapsed cord, breech delivery, postpartum hemorrhage, precipitous delivery)
- Perform and interpret fetal heart monitoring; recognize when higher-level care is required
- Assess and manage pregnancy-related conditions such as hypertension and diabetes
- Assess newborn status, recognize needs for heightened surveillance, perform neonatal resuscitation within scope, monitor for sepsis, hypoglycemia, hypothermia, and jaundice; provide newborn education to families
- Communicate effectively with the patient’s care team and involve families in care decisions; perform other duties as requested

Requirements
- Wisconsin Registered Nursing license (active required)
- Education: Two-year degree in nursing required; Four-year degree in nursing preferred
- Certifications: AHA BLS within 1 month of hire; NRP within 6 months; STABLE within 1 year; Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within 1 year
- Experience: OB/maternal-newborn nursing experience preferred; cross-training to Med/Surg/EICU as needed
- Ability to work in a labor and delivery/maternal-newborn setting and participate in unit cross-training as required
