Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adults in a PCU/IMCU with cardiac conditions, including STEMI and NSTEMI patients
- Monitor patient status, interpret telemetry, and respond to arrhythmias and deteriorating conditions
- Administer prescribed medications, including cardiac drips (Milrinone, Dobutamine) and vasopressors, with appropriate monitoring
- Collaborate with cardiology and multidisciplinary teams; document care plans and progress in the medical record
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to protocols; participate in shift handoffs and care coordination
- Assess and educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and recovery expectations
Requirements
- Active registered nurse license in Georgia
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of PCU experience in a facility of similar size
- Documented PCU experience in work history
- Ability to work night shifts in a high-acuity PCU/IMCU setting
- Comfortable caring for cardiac patients and managing telemetry in a 28-bed unit
