Travel Radiology X-Ray Tech Job
X-Ray Technologist, Radiology, Rochester, New York — this travel, temporary assignment begins May 11, 2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,296 to $2,374. Shifts include 8-hour blocks with options such as Sunday–Thursday evenings (3:30 pm–Midnight) and 5x8-hour evening shifts, with on-call/callback and holidays per unit needs. Candidates must be able to report within 30 minutes for on-call shifts. This role takes place in a hospital setting as a travel assignment.

Responsibilities
- Verify patients’ identity and review physicians’ orders before beginning x-ray procedures
- Use x-ray equipment to obtain radiographic images of bones, tissues, and organs per orders
- Explain procedures to patients and answer questions; position patients appropriately, including assistance with mobility
- Maintain radiation safety practices and minimize dose to patients while ensuring equipment is used safely
- Produce diagnostic, high-quality images for interpretation by the Radiologist and ensure accurate labeling and transfer to the PACS system
Requirements
- Completion of formal training from an approved School of Radiologic Technology; ARRT certification
- New York State license (or ability to obtain prior to starting)
- 2 years of X-ray Technologist experience
- Level 1 trauma center experience; OR experience at a trauma 1 center; ability to move/lift patients and stand for extended periods
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Ability to report within 30 minutes to on-call shifts
