Travel Registered Nurse CVICU Job
Registered Nurse, CVICU – Lima, Ohio – Travel - Temporary Assignment. Start date: 04/21/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,102–$2,176 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour nights (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). You will work in a hospital-based CVICU within a health-system setting, providing expert nursing care to post-operative cardiac patients and others requiring intensive care, with a focus on Open Heart Recovery. This travel position requires eligibility to float to units within your clinical scope when needed.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care for ICU patients, using age-specific criteria across the CVICU population.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, including hemodynamic monitoring, post-operative cardiac management, and medication administration.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including LPN/PCT and unit secretaries, to coordinate care and ensure smooth patient flow.
- Document patient status and care plans accurately in the electronic medical record; communicate changes to the care team promptly.
- Maintain adherence to policies, procedures, infection control standards, and safety protocols; participate in patient and family education and discharge planning as appropriate.
- Float to units within the scope of practice as needed and demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced critical care environment.
Requirements
- Active Ohio RN license (or CompactRN) verifiable in Nursys
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience
- Immediate Open Heart Recovery experience required
- NIHSS certification current
- BLS and ACLS certifications current
- TNCC certification highly preferred
- Ability to float to all units within skill level
