Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for Med Surg patients in a busy acute surgical unit
- Perform ongoing assessments, administer medications, monitor vitals, and document findings in the patient record
- Collaborate with the ED, PACU, and admissions teams to manage patient flow and contribute to efficient discharge planning
- Participate in discharge planning and patient education; coordinate with the ADT nurse to support flow
- Maintain Cerner documentation and ensure compliance with AHA BLS standards; ACLS certification is preferred
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg RN experience
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred; Cerner experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced Med Surg unit
- Must be able to travel for a 13-week assignment
