Ultrasound Tech | Radiology | Cambridge, MA, United States | Start 06/08/2026 | 9-week travel assignment | $2,676–$2,802 per week | 36 guaranteed hours per week | Rotating shift (2x3); Shift times include 7:00 pm–7:00 am and 9:00 pm–7:00 am. Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound examinations across general, small parts, vascular (lower and upper extremities), OB/GYN (fetal surveys in 1st–3rd trimesters), and pediatric imaging (hips, spine, head, pylorus, intussusception) per department protocol.
- Conduct studies for inpatients and outpatients, documenting findings and preparing images for radiologist review.
- Maintain patient comfort and safety, obtaining informed consent as needed and ensuring appropriate patient positioning and imaging techniques.
- Adhere to ALARA principles, manage equipment and supplies, and ensure all images meet department quality standards.
- Accurately document procedures and findings in the EMR (EPIC experience preferred) and communicate critical results promptly to the radiology team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional staff and be willing to float to Cambridge, Somerville, and Everett sites as assigned.
Requirements
- Certification: ARDMS RDMS is required at submission; AHA BLS certification required at submission.
- Experience: 3+ years of ultrasound experience in the specialty.
- EMR: EPIC experience preferred.
- Setting and duties: Ability to work in both inpatient and outpatient ultrasound within Radiology; able to work with patients of all ages.
- Additional: Driver’s license with address matching demographics; up-to-date flu vaccination required during season.
- Scheduling: Willingness to float to multiple sites (Cambridge, Somerville, Everett) and to cover rotating shifts as assigned.
- Submission must include up-to-date resume, 2 recent supervisor references in the specialty, and a skills checklist matching the specialty.
