Travel Registered Nurse PCU Job
Registered Nurse, PCU. Location: Utica, NY. Travel assignment beginning 06/15/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,329–$2,404 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 2x3 nights (6:30 p.m.–7:00 a.m.). Inpatient IMCU/PCU unit within a hospital setting. Floating to other units as needed; block scheduling is never promised or guaranteed. EMR: EPIC experience required.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to IMCU/PCU patients, including neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory-related conditions, with common diagnoses such as COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and post-op care.
- Monitor patient status, perform ongoing assessments, administer medications and IV therapies, and respond promptly to deteriorating conditions.
- Collaborate with Respiratory Therapy for patients on chronic ventilation; assist with vent management as an RT partner.
- Utilize specialty equipment as needed, including temporary pacers, chest tubes, A-lines, BiPAP, and Neptune Vapo devices; ensure proper setup and safety.
- Document care in the EPIC electronic medical record; coordinate with the care team and provide patient and family education as appropriate.
- Maintain unit standards and participate in floating to other units as required; adhere to safety and infection control practices.
Requirements
- Licensure: Active New York RN license with NURSYS verification of all RN licenses
- Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience in IMCU/PCU
- EMR: Proficient in EPIC
- Special skills: Ability to float to other units as needed; able to work in an IMCU/PCU environment with 64 total beds (15 neuro beds)
- Other: RTO (time off) must be included at time of submission; local candidates within 75 miles eligible at local rates
