This travel assignment is for a Respiratory Therapist to cover multiple units in a small hospital setting. - Floating to Medical/Surgical, Emergency Department, and Birthing Center as needed

Responsibilities
- Deliver prescribed respiratory care to patients across Medical/Surgical, Emergency Department, and Birthing Center units per physician orders.
- Assess, monitor, and document respiratory status; adjust invasive and noninvasive ventilator settings; respond to alarms and troubleshoot equipment.
- Administer therapies (nebulized medications, chest physiotherapy, airway clearance techniques) and manage oxygen delivery systems.
- Perform arterial blood gas collection and analysis; interpret results to guide treatment decisions; document in the electronic health record (Epic).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the multidisciplinary team; participate in rounds and patient care planning; provide patient and family education on respiratory care.
- Maintain equipment, ensure infection control practices, and support unit orientation as needed; comply with hospital policies and credentialing requirements.
Requirements
- Vermont state licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (active) or eligibility on submission
- NBRC credential: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or eligibility to take NBRC exam
- AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required (NRP required upon submission); NICU experience within the last year required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience; 2 years of clinical experience in the respiratory care specialty
- Epic experience within the past 2 years
- Ability to work across units (M/S, ED, Birthing Center) with floating as needed
