Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for ICU-level patients according to the nursing process and established standards of care.
- Monitor patient status, perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications and therapies, and interpret diagnostic results.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care plans, transitions, and discharge planning.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; delegate tasks appropriately.
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to quality and documentation standards; utilize critical thinking and independent judgment in clinical decisions.
Requirements
- Active California Registered Nurse license
- ICU/critical care nursing experience
- Availability for night shifts with 12-hour schedule (3 nights per week)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and participate in a travel assignment
