Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop plans of care for OB/GYN patients and their families
- Monitor fetal status, perform fetal monitoring, and manage maternal-fetal assessments as assigned
- Administer medications, including those related to obstetric and gynecologic care, and support with conscious sedation as credentialed
- Assist with OB/GYN procedures and perioperative care in OR/PACU settings; provide triage and telephone triage as needed
- Provide care coordination, patient education, and discharge planning for prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum populations
- Document accurately and ensure patient safety, quality of care, and adherence to standards of practice
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and support termination services when required
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- AWHONN fetal monitoring certificate required
- 2+ years of outpatient OB/GYN nursing experience
- Experience with conscious sedation and termination services preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital OB/GYN setting with appropriate clinical competencies
- Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship (as applicable)
