Responsibilities
- Provide OR nursing care in a high-volume surgical environment, including orthopedic, general surgery, OB/GYN, and endoscopy cases.
- Assist with scrub and circulating duties, instrument and equipment setup, and maintaining sterile technique throughout procedures.
- Support patient positioning, labeling, and retrieval of implants/instruments (including Stryker, Arthrex, DePuy systems) as required by cases.
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively, document events in the medical record, and communicate changes with surgeons and anesthesia providers.
- Collaborate with OR team to ensure patient safety, accurate case cart management, and adherence to unit protocols; participate in on-call rotation to support staffing and coverage needs.
- Document perioperative care in the Meditech system and assist with postoperative handoff as assigned.

Requirements
- Licensure: Current RN license in New York (state of assignment)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
- Experience: Minimum of two years of recent OR nursing experience
- Specialties: Comfortable working across Orthopedics (Stryker, Arthrex, DePuy), General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Endoscopy
- On-call: Availability to provide on-call coverage as needed
- Vaccination policy: COVID vaccine not required; Flu vaccine or declination accepted. Mask required if declining vaccination
