Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
Registered Nurse (OR) – Burlington, Vermont. This travel assignment starts 06/29/2026 and runs for 16 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,802 to $3,092. Shift: 3x12 rotating. Employment type: Travel - Temporary Assignment in a hospital setting. The role focuses on cardiovascular/open heart procedures within a large, academic teaching environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care in the cardiovascular/open heart OR, including circulating and scrubbing duties as assigned.
- Prepare the OR, assist with instrument setup, patient positioning, and maintaining a sterile field; assist surgeons during complex cardiac cases.
- Monitor intraoperative patient status, manage equipment and instrument counts, and document perioperative care in the hospital EMR (Epic) within the past 2 years.
- May be required to float to other OR suites (general, ortho, neuro, ENT, etc); if floated, you will circulate, not scrub.
- Ensure patient safety, adhere to sterile technique and unit protocols, and collaborate closely with anesthesia and surgical teams.
- Maintain high competency in cardiovascular/open heart procedures and provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- BLS required
- CNOR preferred
- A minimum of 2 years OR RN experience with recent competency in cardiovascular/open heart procedures
- Must be comfortable scrubbing for heart cases
- Prior travel experience required
- Epic experience within the past 2 years required
- Ability to float to other OR suites as needed (circulating if floated)
