Travel Registered Nurse ICU Job
Registered Nurse, ICU (Neuro ICU/IMCU) – Travel assignment in Atlanta, GA. Start date: April 20, 2026. 8-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift: Night, 2x3 schedule. Setting: hospital-based on-site assignment. Unit care involves ICU and intermediate care with neuro-focused patients; floating between ICU and IMCU is likely. Neuro ICU/IMCU experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for neuro-critical and step-down patients in ICU and IMCU settings.
- Monitor neurological status, adjust care plans, administer medications, and manage lines, drains, ventilators as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, bedside nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Perform accurate documentation, uphold infection control practices, and ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Coordinate with the unit to manage patient load, assist with admissions/discharges, and facilitate family education.
- Adapt to float between ICU and step-down environments while maintaining appropriate patient-to-nurse ratios (ICU 1–2, step-down 3–4).
Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia with Nursys verification
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in ICU or Neuro ICU/IMCU (neuro-focused care)
- Current certification cards as required for RN practice (e.g., BLS; ACLS per unit policy)
- Ability to work night shifts and to operate in high-acuity hospital units
- Education: Nursing degree required (as part of RN licensure)
