Responsibilities
- Perform cardio-pulmonary evaluation, interpretation, and develop/adjust treatment plans per physician orders
- Administer prescribed respiratory therapies and life support, including ventilator management; monitor patient response and safety
- Provide education to patients, families, and healthcare teams; document care and progress in the chart per policy
- Monitor patients across multiple hospital areas, respond to changes per protocols, and collaborate with the care team to optimize outcomes
- Maintain equipment, ensure infection control practices, and uphold patient safety in accordance with established standards
Requirements
- New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency license/registration certificate (required upfront; must be uploaded with traveler profile)
- NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- New York State Respiratory Therapist license
- Associate’s degree from an Accredited Respiratory Care Program
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP (all required)
- Labor and Delivery/Neonatal Resuscitation experience required
- Epic experience required
- Critical Care proficient
