Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) travel assignment in Herrin, Illinois. Start date 06/01/2026 for a 13-week contract. Weekly pay range is $2,377–$2,520 per week. No guaranteed hours. Shift is Days, with 10-hour shifts (08:00–18:30) four days per week. The role is in a hospital setting and involves heavy orthopedic, urology, spine, and robotic procedures; call and potential float to other facilities may be required.

Responsibilities
- Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs; collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate an individualized perioperative plan of care
- Prepare for surgical cases, assist with sterile technique, and provide intraoperative nursing support for orthopedic, urology, spine, and robotic procedures
- Monitor patient condition perioperatively; use clinical judgment to recognize changes and communicate with the team promptly
- Explain perioperative procedures and postoperative care instructions to patients and their families; maintain complete and accurate medical records
- Support core measures and quality improvement initiatives; participate in continuing education and maintain infection control and safety standards
Requirements
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
- CPR/BLS certification; ACLS certification
- Operating Room nursing experience or demonstrated familiarity with heavy orthopedic, urology, spine, and robotic procedures
- Ability to work in a hospital OR environment; ability to float to other facilities if needed
- Education: graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN)
