Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients in IMCU/PCU with neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory diagnoses; monitor evolving conditions and respond to changes in patient status.
- Administer medications, monitor lab results, and coordinate care plans with the multidisciplinary team, including respiratory therapy for chronic ventilation support.
- Perform ongoing assessments, implement orders, and document care in the EPIC EMR; participate in stroke care processes and NIHSS as applicable.
- Collaborate with physicians, case management, and ancillary staff; assist with transfer, discharge planning, and post-op care as appropriate for the unit.
- Floats to other units as needed to support hospital operations while maintaining patient safety and quality of care.

Requirements
- Active New York RN license; Nursys verification; RTO must be included at submission.
- 2+ years of IMCU/PCU experience; stroke experience strongly preferred.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications; EPIC EMR experience.
- Ability to work in a high-acuity adult unit with chronic ventilator support; pulmonology/RT collaboration required.
- Education: RN degree from an accredited program.
- Valid driver's license and address that matches demographics as part of submission requirements.
