Travel Registered Nurse Oncology Job
Registered Nurse - Oncology (Travel) in Geneva, New York. Start date: 08/17/2026. This 22-26 week contract (flexible end date through the holiday season) places you on a 3x12-hour day/night shift with 2 on-call shifts every 4 weeks. Responsibilities
- Assess patient and family needs, develop an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and monitor progress.
- Deliver direct nursing care, administer medications and treatments per physician orders, and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Educate patients and families on self-care, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions; support safe transitions home.
- Document care accurately in the medical record and maintain infection prevention and safety standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and other health professionals to optimize patient outcomes and promote a healing environment.
Requirements
- Active NYS RN licensure
- BLS and ACLS (AHA or RQI only); NIHSS certification
- Minimum 2 years of med-surg RN experience
- Ability to work 3x12-hour shifts (day/night) and to participate in holiday coverage
- Willingness to travel to Geneva, NY for a Short Term Acute Care Hospital assignment
