Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) travel assignment in Pontiac, MI. Start date 05/04/2026 for a 13-week contract. Weekly pay ranges from $1,892 to $2,021 per week with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift is a 3x12-hour Night schedule. This position requires OR circulating nurse experience and the ability to support a variety of surgical cases in a hospital setting. Employment type: Travel - Temporary Assignment.

Responsibilities
- Provide circulating nurse coverage in the OR, maintaining a sterile field and supporting the surgical team throughout procedures
- Prepare and position patients, assist with instrument setup, counts, and back-table management
- Monitor patient safety, anesthesia cooperation, and intraoperative events; communicate changes to the team
- Document nursing actions, relevant observations, and post-anesthesia care needs as appropriate
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other OR staff to ensure efficient turnover and adherence to policy and regulatory standards
Requirements
- Active registered nurse license in Michigan; license verification required (LARA and Nursys)
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification
- 2+ years of OR experience; must be able to circulate
- Experience with OR case types: Orthopedics, General, Gynecology, Urology, and Neurology
- Skills checklist completed within one year of application for RN specialties
- Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Ability to work nights and participate in weekend/holiday coverage as required
- Must be able to work in a surgical OR setting and adhere to professional and regulatory guidelines
