Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adults in an inpatient behavioral health unit, including assessments, monitoring, and safety planning
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor responses and side effects, and document in EPIC
- Perform crisis intervention, de-escalation, behavior management, and protection of patients and staff in challenging situations
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans; monitor progress and adjust as needed
- Conduct ongoing assessments for mood, psychosis, suicidality, and risk of harm; implement safety measures and, when required, seclusion per policy
- Document care, observations, and interventions accurately in EPIC; participate in shift handoffs and discharge planning as appropriate
Requirements
- Current NY Registered Nurse license in hand
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year RN experience
- EPIC charting experience required
- COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Unit: Inpatient adult behavioral health; 20 beds; night shift coverage
- Floating: Required as needed
- Locational requirement: Candidates residing within 75 miles of Clifton Springs, NY will not be accepted
- Education: RN licensure in New York; no additional degree specified in notes
