Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for medical-surgical and PCU populations with telemetry monitoring
- Perform accurate assessments, develop and implement care plans, and document in the EMR
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and supportive treatments; monitor and address changes in patient status
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, case management, and ancillary staff to ensure safe, effective transitions of care
- Monitor telemetry loops, respond to clinical changes, and participate in rapid response as needed
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning; coordinate transfers when appropriate
Requirements
- Active RN license in Florida (or eligible for licensure)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- 2 years of PCU experience, with mixed PCU/Med-Surg Telemetry background; travel experience preferred
- Education: RN degree from an accredited program or equivalent with 5 years of clinical experience
- Epic EMR experience; ability to float to MS/Tele units and ED
- Travel assignment; no locals accepted; ability to meet onboarding requirements and load complete demographic information
