Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for PCU patients, including monitoring, assessment, and documentation
- Administer medications and IV therapies per orders; manage telemetry and hemodynamic status
- Monitor vital signs, respond to changes in patient condition, and escalate to the health care team as needed
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and execute care plans; ensure accurate charting in the EMR (Epic)
- Support patient and family education, discharge planning, and transition of care
- Float to other sister campuses as needed; travel exige ncies require flexibility and teamwork
Requirements
- 2 years of PCU experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
- EMR experience with Epic
- Degree accreditation must be on profile or 5 years of acute care experience required
- Must be able to float to other campuses; travel assignment; no locals accepted (radius 50 miles)
- All required documentation and demographic information must be loaded at submission; RTO requests must be included with submission; no exceptions for pending docs
