Responsibilities
- Independently provide holistic, individualized OB/GYN inpatient care using the nursing process for patients on the OB unit.
- Conduct ongoing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all assigned patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse.
- Manage nursing responsibilities across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gyne care, including patient education and discharge planning.
- Maintain supplies and equipment, promote safe care and teamwork with physicians and staff across unit and hospital departments.
- Adhere to established Standards of Nursing Practice and maintain patient confidentiality and respectful, professional communications with patients and families.
Requirements
- Current, active RN license (state of Maine) or eligibility for Maine licensure.
- Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Certificate, and STABLE certification.
- Ability to work in a hospital OB/GYN setting; Day shift.
- COVID-19 vaccination per state mandate; strong communication and computer skills.
