Travel Scrub Technician Job
Scrub Technician role available in Helena, Montana for a travel, temporary assignment starting 06/07/2026. This 13-week contract offers 40 guaranteed hours per week across 4 days of 10-hour shifts (4x10-hour days) in a hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $1,689 to $1,810. Scrubs are provided. The role supports Elective and emergent surgeries, with a focus on Orthopedics, Gynecology, Robotic, Urology, General, ENT, and Spine cases. Prior travel experience is required; CST certification is preferred with BLS required. EMR documentation is in Epic.

Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile field and instrument sets for orthopedic, gynecologic, robotic, urology, general, ENT, and spine surgeries; maintain sterile technique throughout procedures.
- Assist surgeons and the sterile team by passing instruments, maintaining instrument counts, preparing implants, and ensuring instrument/kit readiness for each case.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR (Epic) and communicate patient and case details to the circulating nurse as needed.
- Support heavy orthopedic and total joint case workflows; assist with positioning, draping, specimen labeling, and room turnover between cases.
- Adhere to infection control standards, PPE protocols, and hospital policies; participate in call coverage as required.
Requirements
- 2+ years of surgical technology experience
- Prior travel experience required
- Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred; BLS required
- Extensive experience with orthopedic procedures, including total joints
- Proficiency with Epic EMR; ability to document accurately during procedures
- Availability to work 4x10-hour shifts with call requirements
