Registered Nurse, Med Surg, in Atlanta, GA, United States. This travel temporary assignment starts 04/20/2026 and runs for 8 weeks. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Med Surg unit with common diagnoses including oncology, step-down, and heavy sickle cell, while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
- Perform ongoing assessments, monitor vital signs, and administer prescribed medications and IV therapies according to protocol.
- Administer chemotherapy only if certified; otherwise provide standard med administration and supportive care as ordered.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the broader care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document clinical observations and interventions accurately in the medical record; participate in discharge planning and patient/family education as appropriate.
- Assist with procedures, specimen collection, and coordination of care across disciplines to support continuity of care.
Requirements
- Active RN license in good standing; Nursys license verification required.
- Minimum 2 years of med/surg nursing experience.
- Chemo certification preferred.
- Ability to work night shift as required.
- Credentialing/ onboarding requirements: candidate profile must include resume with no gaps greater than 60 days, Skills Checklist, References, Certification Card, and Nursys license verification.
