Responsibilities
- Operate computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce high-quality cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes.
- Perform a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy, as clinically indicated.
- Ensure proper patient positioning, immobilization, and adherence to radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
- Assess image quality, make appropriate adjustments, and collaborate with radiologists and clinicians to meet diagnostic needs.
- Prepare and label imaging studies, document procedures, and maintain accurate patient records.
- Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures and ensure comfort and cooperation during imaging.
Requirements
- Active California radiologic technologist license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- ARRT CT certification preferred or as required by state regulations.
- Minimum 1 year of CT imaging experience (clinical imaging experience acceptable).
- Ability to work nights and maintain reliable, punctual attendance for a 40-hour weekly schedule.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work collaboratively with radiology staff and other departments.
- Knowledge of radiation safety practices and patient care standards appropriate for imaging procedures.
