Registered Nurse – Operating Room (CVOR), Travel assignment in Carbondale, IL. Start date 03/30/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,771-$2,945 per week. Guaranteed hours: not guaranteed. Shift: Days. Setting: hospital operating room.

Responsibilities
- Deliver perioperative nursing care in the CVOR for cardiothoracic procedures, supporting the surgical team throughout the case
- Maintain strict sterile technique, assist with instrument handling, patient positioning, and the insertion/removal of lines and devices as needed
- Monitor intraoperative patient status, including hemodynamics and anesthesia-related considerations, and respond to changes promptly
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members to ensure patient safety, comfort, and efficient case flow
- Complete accurate documentation of intraoperative events, equipment usage, and post-procedure handoff to the PACU/bedside team
- Participate in on-call coverage as required, adhering to unit protocols and safety standards
Requirements
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
- CPR/BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Perioperative/CVOR nursing experience preferred; not required
- Ability to work days in the CVOR with on-call as required
- Education: nursing degree from an accredited program (RN)
