Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care for an individual patient or assigned group using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Administer medications, monitor patient status, recognize changes, and intervene as needed
- Triage, initiate initial assessments, and coordinate care with physicians and other care team members
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to plan and execute patient care plans
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at multiple levels; delegate tasks as appropriate
- Document care accurately in the medical record and ensure adherence to standards, safety protocols, and policies
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California (or eligibility to practice in the state)
- ER/nursing care experience or recent practice in emergency care
- Ability to work evenings and 12-hour shift schedules
- Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and independent decision-making
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity ER setting
- Willingness to complete assignment-specific credentialing and compliance requirements
