Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess patient status, monitor conditions, and implement appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, including discharge planning.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff, ensuring coverage and workflow efficiency.
- Utilize critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making to maintain patient safety and quality of care.
- Document care activities and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with policy and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license in California
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience in labor and delivery or obstetric nursing preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and adapt to a 3x12 schedule
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and credentialing process
