Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, effective, patient-family centered care in accordance with Maine state standards and the organization’s policies.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, monitor clinical status, and document findings with accuracy and timeliness.
- Administer medications, therapies, and treatments per orders; monitor responses and report adverse events promptly.
- Develop and update individualized care plans; coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and staff; maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information.
- Demonstrate independence in routine and emergent situations, including rapid assessment and appropriate action during emergencies.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted RN license (as applicable for practice in the United States) or eligibility to obtain licensure in Maine.
- Demonstrated ability to function independently within a Med/Surg setting and to act rapidly in emergency situations.
- Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills; proficient use of the electronic health record.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to organizational mission, vision, and values.
- Ability to work night shifts and participate in a travel assignment as described.
