Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
Registered Nurse - Operating Room (CVOR), Carbondale, Illinois. Start date: May 18, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,704–$2,934. Shift: Days. This travel, temporary assignment takes place in a hospital setting and involves working in the CVOR with on-call as needed. Responsibilities
- Deliver direct perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the CVOR.
- Monitor intraoperative patient status, assist the surgeon and anesthesia team, and administer medications per policy.
- Maintain strict sterile technique, apply safety protocols, and document all perioperative activities in the electronic health record.
- Prepare and position patients, ensure proper instrument counts, and support turnover to enable case flow.
- Float to clinically appropriate units as needed within scope of practice and licensure.
- Communicate effectively with the perioperative team to ensure patient safety and high-quality outcomes.
Requirements
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse license
- Current CPR/BLS certification; ACLS certification required per facility requirements
- Ability to work in a hospital operating room environment (CVOR) and float to other units as needed
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN degree)
-Eligibility to work in the United States and ability to meet facility credentialing requirements
- Prior operating room or perioperative nursing experience is preferred, but not mandatory
